M&M Builders & Contractors was founded more than three decades ago by Ralph Mollet with a simple philosophy: build exceptional homes, treat people the right way, and never compromise on quality. Today, under the leadership of President Ryan Mollet, that foundation continues while the company has evolved into one of the region’s premier boutique custom home builders.

Serving Maryland, Washington, D.C., Virginia, and Maryland’s Eastern Shore, M&M specializes in luxury custom homes, large-scale renovations, and distinctive residential projects for clients who value craftsmanship, thoughtful planning, and an exceptional building experience.

As a boutique builder, we intentionally limit the number of projects we take on each year so every client receives the attention, communication, and oversight their home deserves. From the earliest design conversations through the final walkthrough, our experienced team works closely with homeowners, architects, and designers to ensure every detail is carefully considered and expertly executed.

Our philosophy extends beyond building beautiful homes. We believe the experience should be just as exceptional as the finished product. Through detailed preconstruction planning, transparent budgeting, proactive communication, and meticulous craftsmanship, we strive to make the building process organized, enjoyable, and rewarding.

Growing up in a home built by his father, Ralph, Ryan developed a passion for construction at an early age and gained firsthand experience in the industry long before joining the family business. After graduating with honors from West Chester University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management, he joined M&M Builders and Contractors in 2004 and has spent more than two decades helping shape the company’s growth and reputation for delivering exceptional custom homes.

As President, Ryan leads the company’s strategic direction while overseeing client relationships and project execution. He has guided the construction of custom homes for successful business owners, community leaders, and fellow builders throughout Maryland, Washington, D.C., Virginia, and Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Known for his attention to detail and commitment to client service, Ryan is passionate about creating an enjoyable building experience and fostering lasting relationships with clients, architects, vendors, and trade partners.

In recent years, Ryan expanded the company by launching M&M’s Coastal Division, bringing the firm’s custom home expertise to Maryland’s Eastern Shore. He currently serves as President of the Montgomery County Builders Association (MCBA), working alongside fellow industry leaders to support and advance the residential building industry throughout the region.

Outside of M&M, Ryan and his father are partners in both Lone Oak Farm Brewing Company and Fallen Oak Distilling in Olney, Maryland. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Katie, and their two children, whether cheering them on at sporting events or traveling together as a family.

Scott Simmons

Director of Construction

Scott brings a wealth of experience and leadership to M&M Builders and Contractors, overseeing field operations and helping ensure every project is executed to the company’s high standards of quality and craftsmanship. A graduate of Salisbury University with a degree in Business Management, Scott was a three-year captain of the lacrosse team and helped lead the Sea Gulls to two National Championships.

As Director of Construction, Scott works closely with project teams, trade partners, and homeowners throughout the building process, focusing on quality control, construction sequencing, and delivering an exceptional experience for every client. Known for his attention to detail and commitment to excellence, he takes pride in building lasting relationships and creating homes that exceed expectations.

Outside of work, Scott enjoys spending time with his wife, Molly, and their four children. Whether coaching, attending sporting events, or enjoying time together as a family, he values the relationships and experiences that matter most.

Ray Sobrino

Chief Operating Officer

With more than four decades of experience in residential construction and architecture, Ray brings a tremendous depth of knowledge and leadership to M&M Builders and Contractors. After studying architecture at The Catholic University of America, he built a distinguished career guiding the planning and execution of custom homes and residential projects throughout the region.

As Chief Operating Officer, Ray oversees project management and day-to-day operations while working closely with homeowners, architects, consultants, and trade partners to ensure projects are delivered with exceptional quality and attention to detail. His collaborative approach, technical expertise, and commitment to client service play an important role in maintaining M&M’s reputation for excellence.

Ray resides in Montgomery County with his wife, Liz. Together they enjoy spending time with their three daughters and two grandchildren and value the importance of family, community, and lasting relationships.

Pooja Gulati

Interior Designer

Pooja brings more than fifteen years of experience in residential design and serves as M&M Builders and Contractors’ Interior Designer. A Board-Certified Interior Designer and graduate of La Roche University with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design, she combines creativity with a deep understanding of construction and the many details that bring a home to life.

Working closely with homeowners and the M&M team, Pooja guides clients through the selections process, helping them navigate finishes, fixtures, and furnishings while creating cohesive and timeless spaces that reflect their lifestyle and vision. Her thoughtful approach and attention to detail help ensure every home is both beautiful and functional.

Originally from Pittsburgh, Pooja enjoys spending time with family and friends and finds inspiration in travel, architecture, and the unique experiences that shape the way people live in and enjoy their homes.

Katie Mollet

Design Selections & Furnishings

Katie brings more than a decade of experience in residential design, working with M&M on selections and design direction for spec and custom homes, including lighting, plumbing fixtures, tile, paint, and other interior finishes. Her passion for home design began at an early age, growing up alongside her father, who owned a design-build company, and developing an appreciation for the many details that transform a house into a thoughtfully curated home.

In addition to her professional experience, Katie has managed selections and furnishings throughout the process of building homes for her own family, giving her a unique perspective on both construction and the importance of creating spaces that feel personal, functional, and inviting.

Working alongside M&M’s Interior Designer, Pooja Gulati, CID, Katie collaborates closely with homeowners throughout the selections process, helping ensure every detail works together seamlessly. She is passionate about creating cohesive, timeless spaces that reflect each client’s lifestyle while bringing creativity and confidence to every stage of the design journey.

Outside of work, Katie enjoys traveling, cheering on her children at their activities and sporting events, and spending time with family and friends. She continues to draw inspiration from the people, places, and experiences that make a house feel truly lived in and loved.

Charlene Bradley

Office Manager

Charlene joined M&M Builders and Contractors in 2015, bringing more than four decades of administrative and organizational experience to the company. Following a distinguished career with Montgomery County Public Schools, she has played an integral role in supporting M&M’s continued growth and ensuring the day-to-day operations of the office run smoothly and efficiently.

As Office Manager, Charlene works closely with clients, vendors, and the M&M team, providing the organization and attention to detail that help keep projects moving forward. Her professionalism, dependability, and dedication to customer service have made her a valued resource for both homeowners and trade partners.

Outside of work, Charlene enjoys spending time with family and friends and appreciates the relationships and sense of community that have been such an important part of her life and career.
